Stress Analyst - Remote

<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">We are seeking an experienced Stress Analyst to support the analysis and validation of ground systems, umbilical hardware, launch infrastructure, and transportation/handling tooling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural analysis, finite element modeling (FEA), and aerospace or ground support equipment, with the ability to work closely with design teams to support engineering development and design validation efforts.<br><br><b>Job Type:</b> Contract-to-Hire (REMOTE)<br><b>Pay Rate:</b> $75hr - $90hr (DOE)<br><b>Schedule:</b> Full-Time | M-F (Overtime as needed)</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></span></p><h3><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Umbilical & Ground Systems</span></span></h3><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Perform structural and dynamic analyses to validate umbilical systems during launch and abort operations</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Evaluate disconnect timing, clearance requirements, and load conditions</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Analyze launch pad structures, support equipment, and integrated mechanical systems</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Support development of load cases and design validation activities</span></span></li></ul><h3><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;"><strong>Ground Testing & Handling Equipment</strong></span></span></h3><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Analyze test fixtures, stands, instrumentation hardware, and leak-check equipment</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Perform structural analysis on lifting fixtures, transport frames, handling rings, and associated tooling</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Evaluate load paths, rigging configurations, rated loads, and safety factors</span></span></li></ul><h3><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;"><strong>General Responsibilities</strong></span></span></h3><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Develop hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) models to support design validation</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Prepare analysis reports for engineering releases and design reviews</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Collaborate with design and drafting teams to support structural design decisions</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements</span></span></li></ul><h2><br><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></span></span></h2><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or a related field</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Experience performing structural analysis using hand calculations and FEA methods</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Proficiency with ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, or similar analysis tools</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Strong understanding of static, dynamic, thermal, and load path analysis</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Familiarity with factors of safety, rated loads, and lifting/handling standards such as NASA-STD-8719 or ASME BTH-1</span></span></li></ul><h2><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></span></span></h2><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Experience with launch vehicle ground systems, umbilical, or test equipment</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Familiarity with NASA MSFC engineering standards and processes</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Experience supporting launch, abort, transportation, or handling load case development</span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Once you apply, please text "SARem" to 904-712-6140 for a faster reply. <br><br><b>INDH</b></span></span></p>
