If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h3><strong>About the role </strong></h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our team and help us build cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools. Rather than specialists, we’re seeking curiosity-driven engineers who are thoughtful problem solvers and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments. Our engineering team is highly collaborative and works on a wide variety of exciting challenges, including developing new interfaces for AI content creation, building LLM-powered features and conversational experiences, and deploying cutting-edge computer vision and generative models to production.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h3><strong>A peek at our technical stack </strong></h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">The rich UI of our generative AI tools is powered by <strong>TypeScript</strong> and <strong>React</strong> with <strong>MediaBunny</strong> driving in-browser media and <strong>React Flow</strong> powering our node-based creative workflows. Our API endpoints for user and media management are written in <strong>TypeScript</strong> and <strong>Node.js</strong> and deployed as containerized services on <strong>AWS ECS Fargate</strong>. We leverage AI APIs to power advanced generative capabilities.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h3><strong>What you’ll do </strong></h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Create rich multimedia interfaces using the cutting edge of the latest AI video generation models Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build end-to-end full-stack AI-powered product features — designing and developing both frontend experiences and backend systems, including authoring server-side processes and APIs that power our generative AI tools</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and implement LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner with a world-class engineering team pushing the boundaries of creativity and content creation on the browser</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Take on new challenges across the Frontend stack to implement product features for Runway’s machine learning based generative AI tools</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of our codebases</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h3><strong>What you’ll need </strong></h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">3+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally full-stack focused</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstrated fluency of one or more programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript/TypeScript</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building with third-party AI APIs (e.g., chatbots, LLM integrations)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in architecting production-ready systems and familiarity with debugging and profiling tools</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate on them with tight product deadlines</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Humility and open mindedness; at Runway we love to learn from one another</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team.
