Director, Advanced Planning - REMOTE - Atlanta, GA or Jacksonville, FL

About the position

The Director, Advanced Planning is a client-facing role that serves primarily as an estate planning subject matter authority for Fidelity's high net worth clients and their advisors as a member of a regionally-aligned Advanced Planning team providing comprehensive financial and estate planning support. Additionally, the Director, Advanced Planning will also be relied on to support the Vice President, Advanced Planning Market Lead to provide advisor training, regional business development and thought leadership. We primarily use video technology to function remotely and meet virtually with clients and advisors across the region. We also collaborate within the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person to maintain and increase our collective impact on the clients we serve. Travel is typically expected between 5% and 20% of time, depending on physical proximity to regional sites and investor centers. This role is remote but does require residing within commuting distance to any Atlanta, GA Investor Center or Jacksonville, FL regional Center or Investor Center.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an estate planning subject matter authority for high net worth clients and their advisors.
  • Support the Vice President, Advanced Planning Market Lead in advisor training and regional business development.
  • Provide comprehensive financial and estate planning support.
  • Utilize video technology to meet virtually with clients and advisors.
  • Collaborate with the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with preferred designations: CPA, JD, M.T., LLM in taxation.
  • 10-12 years overall work experience with 4 years in trusts and estate planning, income tax planning or succession planning.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 obtained within 90-days of employment.
  • Knowledge in estate planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation.
