Freelance Assistant - Product Development, Womens Denim

About the position

This role will support the Women's Denim team on all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to final development with direction from the category's leader.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for the Women's Denim Bottoms design team from concept to design to final development
Master knowledge of all styles, raw materials and trims related to Denim Bottoms
Assist with the management of cross-functional communication between merchants, production, technical design and external vendors
Manage all shipping, tracking, receiving, organizing and photographing samples
Create and update all tech packs in PLM and update them as needed
Work with lead designer to facilitate comments and updates to PLM tech packs
Create, prepare, and update visual line sheets as needed
Assist with the preparation of presentation boards for seasonal/ milestone meetings
Conduct design research as directed by department head
Attend fit sessions as needed and facilitate comments into PLM and vendors
Review lab dips, samples and submits with category leader and enter/send comments to vendors
Perform other duties as required

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
Web PLM experience is required
Proficient in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Excel
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment - mainly working in office several days a week with occasional remote work from home
Keen eye for color, trend, detail and construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to multi task and prioritize based on business objectives
Organized and detail oriented
