Job Title: Customer Service Agent Salary: $20–30 per hour Company: Southwest Airlines Location: Denver, USA Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Job Responsibilities Provide friendly customer support to all inbound and outbound passengers and freight customers. Assist with ticketing, reservations, and check‐in procedures at the retail location, boarding area, and ticket counter. Handle payments, including cash, checks, travel vouchers, and coupons, process charges, make change, and balance day‐to‐day transactions. Answer phones, provide information, and resolve passenger inquiries or complaints in a courteous manner. Manage over‐sales, flight changes, cancellations, lost or damaged baggage, and related passenger issues according to company policies. Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and document complaints or abnormal incidents as needed. Work efficiently in a fast‐paced environment to support the smooth operation of airline services. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support the organization's objectives. Qualifications Proficient typing and computer skills with the ability to use a PC or terminal quickly and accurately. Strong understanding of airline policies, procedures, and ticketing systems. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, capable of working effectively with colleagues and passengers in high‐stress situations. Demonstrated ability to meet performance goals (e.g., 80% or higher customer satisfaction rating during training). Capacity to handle emergencies and crisis situations on a case‐by‐case basis. Strong time‐management skills to meet strict turnaround times and deadlines. Reasonable knowledge of the Ground Tasks Worker Handbook and related operational procedures. Ability to perform all job responsibilities within a restricted space and to comply with all safety requirements. Excellent verbal communication skills, encompassing phone, in‐person and radio interactions. Interpret and convey information accurately to passengers, coworkers, and supervisors.
