Job Description:

  • responsible for the oversight and activities of a team of claim professionals
  • responsible for the day-to-day work and activities of their team
  • responsible for the performance, development and coaching of their staff
  • determine on each claim the need for attorneys, surveillance, and nurse case managers, and then assign, direct, and monitor the vendor
  • communicate effectively and develop strong relationships with their team members
  • gain consensus from our insureds regarding claim strategies
  • ensure compliance with required statutes and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 to 13 years of diverse experience in Tennessee and Kentucky workers’ compensation claims handling is required
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of claims leadership experience managing claim adjusters in Tennessee and Kentucky is required
  • Solid background in coverage analysis, reserving, claims investigation, and litigation management is required
  • Prior work with large or national accounts is required
  • Candidate location in Tennessee or Kentucky is preferred but not required
