As the <strong>Nurse</strong> on our team, you'll be a trusted clinical resource and inspire excellence in those around you. <em>Apply today!<br><br></em><strong>About Step<br><br></strong>The <strong>STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress)</strong> <strong>Program</strong> is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies located in San Jose, CA. <strong>STEP</strong> provides intensive, short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12-17, for an average of 15 days. Our programs deeply engage in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to bring equity and justice to the youth and families we serve.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Coordinates and facilitates referral and intake process</li><li>Collects and analyzes assessment data to formulate resident care problems, individualized outcomes, plans, implements and evaluates nursing interventions</li><li>Facilitates the Recreational Group for the program</li><li>Provides all care required to be given by a RN on shift assigned</li><li>Meets all regulatory and facility documentation standards</li><li>Collaborates with Psychiatrist to ensure quality of medication administration, adequate consents, medical treatment and follow-up</li><li>Collaborates with Clinical Manager to ensure health and safety, infection control, resource utilization, and clinical and rehabilitative standards of care</li><li>Participates in nursing department, staff meetings and other facility activities<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>REQUIRED:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelors of Science in Nursing OR</li><ul><li>Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)</li></ul><li>Active CA Registered Nurse license</li><li>Current CPR – BLS certification</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age</li><li>Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca’ insurance policy</li><li>TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements <br></li></ul><strong>Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>Psychiatric Nursing experience</li><li>Bilingual Spanish skill set</li><li>Excellent critical-thinking, communication, & organization skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>SCHEDULE</strong> <br><br><ul><li>Per Diem; number of shifts will vary</li><ul><li>Monday - Friday; 8am - 4pm</li></ul><li>Travel is required to Santa Clara STEP and at least 2 other STEP locations</li><ul><li>Program locations: Alameda, Contra Costa, Sonoma, Solano<br></li></ul></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>Starting $60.10 - $62.60 per hour, commensurate with experience</li><ul><li>Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam</li><li>Salary increases each year</li></ul><li>$2,000 sign-on bonus</li></ul>
