Role Description The Medical Scribe is a full-time, remote role responsible for accurately documenting clinical encounters and health-related information to support WHOlivesorg’s programs and partners. Day-to-day tasks include listening to or reviewing medical consultations, recording patient histories, physical exam findings, assessments, and plans in a clear and organized format.

Scribe will maintain accurate electronic records, ensure proper use of medical terminology, and align documentation with organizational standards and privacy guidelines. This role collaborates with medical professionals and project teams to clarify information, support data collection for research and reporting, and help ensure that health-related documentation is complete and actionable.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong scribe skills, including accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Candidates should possess solid knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy to ensure precise and clear records.

Candidates should possess experience or training in medical assisting or a related clinical support role.

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and remote teams.

Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Candidates should possess proficiency with electronic health records or similar digital documentation tools; familiarity with data privacy and confidentiality standards is beneficial.

Candidates should possess a relevant educational background, such as coursework or certification in medical scribing, health sciences, or a related field; prior experience in global health or nonprofit environments is a plus.
