The GW will work collaboratively with the AMC team to coordinate grant-related activities, communicate with clients, assist with research, write compelling proposals, and complete other grants-related work as needed. The GW is evaluated based on how they carry out these responsibilities; overall client and employee satisfaction as measured by formal and informal client and team feedback; and the progress they have made towards the performance goals outlined in their annual goal-setting worksheets. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Write and prepare 10-15 foundation grant products per month and/or the equivalent in public grants in accordance with the guidelines and requirements of each funding source. Depending upon the month and project load, this involves approximately 40 -100 hours of writing and editing per month</li><li>Craft persuasive narratives that effectively communicate the nonprofit's goals, objectives, and impact to potential funders.</li><li>Utilize AMC time-tracking software (Harvest), project management software (Asana), and keep their AMC Google Calendar up to date for scheduling purposes. </li><li>Collaborate with Lead Consultants, Development Coordinators, and other team members to gather information and data necessary for grant applications.</li><li>Analyze the financial aspects of grant opportunities, assess their feasibility, and ensure alignment with the client's financial goals.</li><li>Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the client's mission and projects.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with available grants from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources</li><li>Other duties as determined by the client.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Competencies and Essential Job Functions </strong></p><p><strong>Grant Writing Expertise:</strong> You have a deep understanding of the grant writing process, including research, proposal development, and deadlines management. You are able to maneuver with ease across and between systems. Additionally, you should be comfortable with and able to adopt new technologies, including but not limited to AI and LLMs. </p><p><strong>Time and Self-Management:</strong> You are adept at time and self-management. You possess the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, juggling multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. You employ efficient time management practices and work to ensure that grant proposals are developed meticulously and submitted punctually. You have the ability to self-manage which allows you to be productive and focused amidst competing responsibilities. Additionally, you have the capacity to set achievable goals, maintain momentum, and adapt to shifting priorities all of which are crucial to success.
