Cement Plant Laborer

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, mechanically aware Industrial Plant Laborer / Equipment Operator to support daily plant operations in a heavy industrial environment. This role requires hands-on work, strong safety awareness, and the ability to recognize equipment issues and communicate effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
What You’ll Do
- Perform general plant cleanup (sweeping, shoveling, hosing, vacuuming)
- Remove cement dust, debris, and waste materials
- Assist maintenance crews during shutdowns and repairs
- Move and dispose of materials safely
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant
- Monitor equipment operation including belts and pumps
- Check oil levels and observe for mechanical irregularities
- Inspect intake and material handling areas for defects or unsafe conditions
- Report mechanical issues, safety hazards, and material buildup to the control room or maintenance team
- Transition to alternate plant support roles during outages as needed
What We’re Looking For
- MUST have relatable heavy industrial, plant, or construction experience
- Mechanically aware and able to identify potential equipment issues (not responsible for performing repairs)
- Able to perform heavy physical work (lifting 60+ lbs, bending, climbing, standing for extended periods)
- Comfortable working in dusty, hot, noisy, and elevated environments
- Strong safety mindset and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multi-task and stay alert in an active production setting
Schedule
- 8–12 hour shifts
- Overtime available during shutdowns and peak production
