Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) (Hybrid, Part-Time)
Lucid Behavioral Health is an outpatient psychiatry practice dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care for adolescents and adults. We are seeking a motivated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support our growing clinic in providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care with therapists and primary care providers.
This role is ideal for clinicians who value patient-centered care, teamwork, and the opportunity to work in a supportive outpatient environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
- Provide medication management for mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety - disorders, mood disorders, and related conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the psychiatrist
- Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as appropriate
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment options, and mental health conditions
- Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (DrChrono)
- Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and clinic policies
- Participate in case discussions or consultations when needed
Qualifications for PMHNP applicants:
- Active California PMHNP license/certification
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Board certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Active RN license
- Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable providing telehealth and in-person care
Qualifications for PA applicants:
- Active California PA license
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Board certification as PA
- Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
