Travel Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) | Honokaa, Hawaii

A registered nurse with experience in rehabilitation and long-term care will provide essential nursing care at a skilled nursing facility located within a hospital setting in Honokaa, Hawaii. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to apply comprehensive clinical skills in a rewarding environment dedicated to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and administer treatments in accordance with care plans
  • Administer medications safely and accurately
  • Communicate critical information promptly to physicians and nurse practitioners
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges with attention to detail
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac maintenance, and CPAP support
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care delivery
  • Adapt to varied shift schedules including days (7:30 AM3:30 PM), evenings (3:00 PM11:30 PM), and nights (11:00 PM7:30 AM), with weekend, holiday, and potential overtime coverage as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Registered Nurse license with rehabilitation and long-term care experience required
  • Must possess or obtain a Hawaii state nursing license prior to assignment start
  • Ability to arrive on the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
