Pharmacy Technician, Retail Call Center

Job Description:

  • Handles incoming calls from customers, healthcare providers, and pharmacies regarding prescription-related inquiries, providing accurate and timely assistance.
  • Verifies and validates prescription information adhering to company protocols.
  • Documents customer concerns regarding prescriptions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Provides guidance to customers regarding prescription refills, medication adherence, potential drug interactions, and general medication information.
  • Operates computer systems and software applications to access customer records during interactions.
  • Communicates with healthcare professionals and pharmacies for prescription processes.
  • Escalates complex issues to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Monitors, tracks, and analyzes call center performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Stays updated on industry regulations and medication trends to provide accurate information to customers.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • must be a resident and Licensed Pharmacy Technician in specific states including Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas or Vermont
  • Candidate must obtain Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license upon hire
  • Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Rhode Island or Massachusetts
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
