The following list<br><br>represents potential duties that may be required:<br>• Maintain comprehensive customer profiles including current and past medical history, clinical<br><br>and laboratory data, and concurrent medications (including over-the-counter and home<br><br>remedies)<br>• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential<br><br>interactions, and route of administration. Make recommendations for therapy changes to the<br><br>prescriber as appropriate<br><br>Operate and Troubleshoot Pharmacy Automation Systems<br>• Utilize, monitor, and troubleshoot automated dispensing and fulfillment systems to<br><br>ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription orders<br>• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering teams to resolve automation<br><br>issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards<br><br>Dispense Controlled Substances and Maintain Regulatory Compliance<br>• Accurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations and<br><br>state-specific laws<br>• Maintain thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance<br><br>transactions, including inventory management, reconciliation, and reporting<br><br>requirements<br><br>Provide Clinical Support:<br>• Answer clinical questions and provide guidance<br>• Collaborate with healthcare team members<br>• Document all healthcare team communications<br>• Investigate and resolve medication errors<br><br>Additional Responsibilities:<br>• Implement policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws<br>• Maintain required regulatory documentation<br>• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives<br>• Support pharmacy operations across departments as needed<br>• Physical requirements may include ability to perform warehouse work and lift at least<br><br>20 pounds<br><br><b>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</b><br>• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree<br>• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in state of employment (additional licenses may be<br><br>required)<br>• Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems<br>• Exemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills<br><br><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b><br>• Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations<br>• Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining quality customer service<br><br>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $161,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
