<p>Job Posting Title:</p>Manager, Content Planning<p></p><p>Req ID:</p>10131497<p></p><p>Job Description:</p><p>Disney’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.</p><p></p><p>The Disney+ Global Content Programming and Subscriber Engagement team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.</p><p></p><h2>What You’ll Do</h2><p></p><p>Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Planning; the <b>Manager, Content Planning</b> will oversee Disney+ slate updates and collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Finance, Operations, Studios, Networks, and International Programming to ensure slate alignment and optimization. This role requires a dynamic thinker with strong strategy and leadership experience.</p><p></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Manage Disney+ slate updates throughout the content planning lifecycle, coordinating with key stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders across segments to establish programming intent for content initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Work cross-functionally across executive leadership, international partners, programming, and operations teams to ensure slate alignment and initiate content planning workflows.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate across teams to generate insights and strategic recommendations that optimize slate planning.</p></li><li><p>Create business communications and presentations that synthesize inputs from internal partners to provide a comprehensive and strategic view of the content pipeline.</p></li><li><p>Partner with the Sr. Manager to design and evolve scalable frameworks and processes for global slate planning.</p></li><li><p>Maintain extensive slate data across planning systems and documentation.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2></h2><h2>Required Qualifications & Skills</h2><ul><li><p>7+ years of experience in entertainment at a major media company, with a focus on content finance, planning, strategy, and/or slate management.</p></li><li><p>1+ year of direct people management experience.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Airtable, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, and adaptability with new tools.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to build and manage relationships across a complex, matrixed organization.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated advanced deck building skills for executive-level audiences.</p></li><li><p>Strong track record of leading strategic, high-priority projects in dynamic environments.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.</p></li><li><p>Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2></h2><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p><span>Relevant experience in content strategy and finance, with the ability to translate insights into actionable planning; strong preference.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Passion for Disney’s segments, brands, and franchises with the ability to drive audience engagement; considered a plus.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><h2></h2><h2></h2><h2>Education</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Additional Information</h2><ul><li><p>This role is based in the Glendale office 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday and flexibility to work from home on Friday.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p>The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $105,100 to $140,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
